Server
You don’t need to buy a new server to use LabStats. The server components (web server, database) all install on to the same machine, which does not need to be a server-class computer. Here are our suggestions for a minimum configuration:
Operating System: Windows Vista SP2*, 7*, 2003 SP2, 2003 R2 SP2, 2008 SP2, 2008 R2
Web Server: IIS 6, 7, 7.5
Database Server: SQL Server 2008, SQL Server R2 Express
Other Software: .NET 4.0 Framework, ASP.NET, IIS 6 Management Compatability

**This machine should NOT be running any other web server or database server software.**
Client
Our goal is to support all your clients, so if you have an OS that we don’t support, give us your suggestions about what you want us to support, and we’ll do our best to include support quickly. Currently these are the clients we support:
Windows XP, Vista, 7, 2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2
Mac OSX 10.4 or higher
Linux Fedora 14
Ubuntu 9 or higher
Red Hat Enterprise 6
Other Software: .NET 3.5 Framework, Mono Framework for Linux
Other: Enough Processing power, RAM, and hard drive space to run the OS in its recommended configuration
