PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE UPGRADING, PLEASE SEE THE UPGRADE PROCESS DOCUMENT ON THE SIDE BAR.

PLEASE NOTE 2: LABSTATS 4 CLIENTS CANNOT COMMUNICATE WITH LABSTATS 5. A LABSTATS 5 CLIENT INSTALL WILL BE NECESSARY.

PLEASE NOTE 3: CHECK YOUR CLIENT SETTINGS (NUMBER 8 BELOW) BEFORE INSTALLING CLIENTS

PLEASE NOTE 4: ALL VERSIONS OF THE MAC CLIENT PRIOR TO VERSION 5.0.11012.1 ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS UPDATE. TO CONTINUE USING MAC WITHIN LABSTATS, YOU MUST UPDATE YOUR CLIENTS TO THE NEW NATIVE VERSION USING THE SUPPLIED PKG INSTALLER.

Below are some instructions to get your started with your purchase or demo. If you are a current customer and wish to learn more about upgrading from LabStats 4, please take a look at the "Upgrade Process Defined" document availabe in the Popular Documentation section to the right.

Steps

  1. Read the System Recommendation and install any preinstallation software.
  2. Download LabStats v. (5.0.11012.47)
  3. Put LabStats installer on your Windows server.
  4. Verify ports 80(web), 8080(Windows), 8081(Linux), 8083(Mac) and 8055(Server Push Port) are open on your LabStats server firewall. You will also need 8090 open on your Clients.
  5. Run the LabStats 5 installer.
  6. Once the installer has finished, you should be able to access LabStats by visiting <http://localhost/labstats/> in your browser with the default username of "labstats" and password of "labstats".
  7. Install your licenses (Administration >> Licensing).
  8. Visit the Client Management page and verify your settings (Administration >> Client Management).
  9. Create at least one group (Groups and Stations >> Add Group)
  10. Download the LabStats client onto your clients (Groups & Station >> Client Installers), run the installer and reboot the machine.
  11. The clients should check-in and be listed as unassigned. You need to assign licenses and associate your clients to your groups. For more help, download our "User Guide" document availabe in the Popular Documentation section to the right.
