----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.1.15
Includes updates to enhance server performance in large environments, and fixes a problem where duplicate computer records were being created by the server in certain situations. Recommended release for all LabStats users.
3.1.10
New Features! UserTracker page now shows Total Time Used. Custom Statistics query on labs now show Total Time Used and also allow you to enter a number of open hours for the lab to get a Usage Percentage.
3.1.9
Includes significant performance improvements to the UserTracker and Public Stats pages on the server, especially for large environments.
Also includes cosmetic changes to make the distinction between total logins and total users easier to understand.
3.1.7
New Feature! Previously, clients that had only remote users (Linux and Mac telnet/ssh, Windows remote desktop, etc.) showed up as Available, since they were technically available for more users. Now you have the option to choose whether remote users make machines show as In Use or Available.
3.1.5
Resolves a problem where Internet Explorer did not display text boxes correctly for entering a custom date range in the Login History and Usage History graphs.
3.1.3
Resolves a problem with LabStats server where you are unable to login after rebooting your server computer. Note: until you upgrade to this version, the workaround for that issue is simply to restart the Apache Tomcat services in the Services control panel.
3.1.2
Includes a fix for displaying live LabMaps on other webpages, and includes code snippets that you can copy and paste into your other webpages to call the live LabMaps.
3.1.1
--- LabMaps is here! ---
Version 3.1 is the official release of LabMaps, which is included in the LabStats installer and automatically installs with LabStats. To use LabMaps, simply upgrade your Labstats server, and enter your new LabMaps license demo key, which you can get here.
Also includes many important enhancements for server performance. Even if you don't plan to use LabMaps, you should install this new server version.
3.0.32
Important improvements to the NetWare client for Windows. You can download and install this new NetWare client without upgrading your server. Note that you will need to modify the labstats.conf file to point to your own server IP address, or replace it with your own labstats.conf before installing.
3.0.31
New feature for graphing login counts that allows you to specify how to calculate unique logins. (See User Guide)
Also contains enhancements to the Windows and NetWare clients that improve client/server communications.
3.0.29
Server has some improvements in database processing for large numbers of client computers, resulting in better performance. Various other minor issues resolved in how logins and certain graphs are displayed. The graphic on the login page is finally restored! This makes LabStats a lot more pretty (you didn't even know it was supposed to be there, huh?!).
3.0.28
Changes made to Server and Mac client only. Mac client has fixes for better performance and more accurate updating of user logins. Server has enhancements in lab definitions, including the addition of CHECKBOXES to make mass assignments, activations, or deletions, of client computers.
3.0.25
MAJOR UPGRADE! UserTracker included!
This new version includes many new features and enhancements. Here is a partial list:
UserTracker
• Full support for dynamic DHCP addressing.
• More options for defining labs (including by hostname prefix and mass manual assignments through checkbox selections).
• SUSE Linux client.
• Display of computer hostnames and MAC addresses in Web Admin.
• Improved custom graphing interface.
• Improved server performance.
• Improved client performance.

Note: If you are using any 2.x version, we recommend you upgrade to 3, even if you don't want or need the UserTracker functionality. UserTracker can be disabled in Web Admin, and version 3 contains many important fixes and enhancements for LabStats as well.
If you have any other version of 3 (for example, 3.2.0), you should upgrade to 3.0.32, since it is the newest version.
If you purchased maintenance with LabStats, simply reuse your same license key with version 3, as it is already coded to work.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.5.0
2 NEW FEATURES!
The lab usage history data can now be exported into a CSV file. Look for an 'Export Data' link on the Web Admin home page.
History graphs can now be customized with new options that appear on the Public Stats page. Stats can be included/excluded, shown as a line or an area, and displayed in custom colors.
Issue was also resolved where, in some rare cases, the history data stopped accumulating until Apache Tomcat was restarted.
2.4.3
Some changes were made to the graph colors, and In Use numbers now show as an Area, instead of a Line. The graphs are much less cluttered.
Note: next week we will be releasing a version that allows you to customize the graphs yourself!
Also resolves an issue with the Client Agent for Windows where some computers showed as In Use, even when no users were logged in. You can download this Windows Client Agent installer separately here if you already have the server installed. You will need the labstats.conf that comes with your current client installer in the same directory with this new one.
2.4.0
NEW FEATURE! The Web Admin now allows you to delete a lab and remove it entirely from the database. A new option called retire allows you to make a lab inactive, but keep the history data and view reports for it.
2.3.0
Resolves an issue with the Client Agent for Windows where some Windows clients never showed up as a registered computers with the LabStats server, and continually received a new id of -1 (see c:\windows\labstats.log).
You can download this Windows Client Agent installer separately here if you already have the server installed. You will need the labstats.conf that comes with your current client installer in the same directory with this new one.
This version of the server also includes a change to the Tomcat web server, allowing it to allocate more threads and improving server performance for environments with hundreds of client computers.
2.2.2
Improves server queries when clicking on the Clients link in Web Admin. Customers with hundreds of clients will see significant speed improvements in this area.
2.2.1
Contains updated Client Agent installer for Windows to fix an issue that occasionally appeared when reinstalling the client agent 'over the top' of the old one. It would ask to Abort, Retry, Fail, and then continue normally if Retry was chosen, or install normally during the second attempt.
You can download this Windows Client Agent installer separately here if you already have the server installed. You will need the labstats.conf that comes with your current client installer in the same directory with this new one.
2.2.0
Issue Resolved: Tomcat error message when clicking on Labs or Clients links in Web Admin.
Issue Resolved: Duplicate client record for a computer with the same IP and MAC address.
A small, tooltip-like graphic sometimes appeared on the Current Status pie charts. This has been removed.
Added a link on the Configuration page to get a 10 client demo license.
2.1.7
Client checkin methods improved especially for large-scale environments with hundreds of computers checking in simultaneously.
Reusable links that display with the graphs were changed to be just the image file without the HTML, making them easier to use in <img> tags on your own website.
Fixed a problem that occurred when running the Client Agent on the server machine.
2.1.4
Changed Configure Labs page in Web Admin to no longer show deleted labs.
Added validation for lab definitions to only accept valid IP addresses and subnet masks.
2.1.0
Windows Client Agent installer updated to be able to install "over the top". The installer will now uninstall any existing client on its own before continuing.
A computer that loses its ID (ie. if the Client Agent is reinstalled, or the labstats.conf is reset to id="-1") will now receive back its original ID when checking in again. A duplicate client record will no longer be created, unless the IP or MAC address has changed.
